Naval Brass
Naval brass is a classic marine alloy that is strong and doesn’t rust. It is made up of 60% copper, 0.75% tin, and 39.2% zinc. Adding tin to Naval Brass also makes it very resistant to dezincification. It is commonly used in marine construction where a strong, hard material that doesn’t corrode is needed. It can be used in both salt and fresh water. Naval brasses are strong and stiff. The alloys are known for being able to resist wear, fatigue, and stress corrosion cracking.
