Lead Free Brass

Lead-free brass has moderately high strength, very good ductility in certain forms, and a comparatively good resistance to corrosion. It is powerful in its hot forms. Muntz metal is another name for it. The main Cu/Zn ratios in which it is available are 60/40, 63/37, 65/35, and 70/30. A ductile alloy is appropriate for hot forging, pressing, bending, riveting, and blanking.
